CONSIGNMENT AND BUYOUT POLICY
At Carte Blanche Shop, we curate a refined selection of pre-loved designer pieces with care and precision. To ensure a smooth and transparent experience, please review our consignment and buyout terms below.
1. Buyout Eligibility
We currently offer buyout options only for handbags and accessories.
All other items — including clothing and footwear — are accepted on a three month
consignment basis.
2. Item Selection
To begin, please email clear photos of your items to our consignment team at:
consignment@carteblancheshop.com
If possible, include close-up images of any imperfections.
You may also bring your handbags and accessories in excellent condition directly to our boutique for in-store evaluation.
3. Authentication
All designer handbags and accessories must be 100% authentic.An authentication fee applies to all luxury handbags and accessories, and the exact quote will be provided by email prior to processing.
4. After Selection
Within 7 business days, you will receive an email including:
• A brief description of each accepted item
• The proposed sale price
• The applicable commission rate
5. Commission Structure
• 60% commission — Luxury handbags and accessories
• 50% commission — Clothing, shoes, and mid-range accessories
Items in excellent condition with original packaging may qualify for the higher rate.
6. Price Approval
You will be asked to review and approve all proposed prices before your items are listed for sale. Adjustments can be discussed with our team to ensure mutual agreement.
7. Consignment Period
All items remain in inventory for a 3-month consignment period (online and/or in-store).
At the end of this period, unsold items can be:
• Picked up in-store
• Extended for another term
• Donated to charity upon request
8. Sales Tracking and Payments
Consignors may request sales updates via email on the 15th day of each month.
Payments for sold items are issued by cheque on the 15th of each month, unless otherwise specified.
9. Frequently Asked Questions
Do you buy items outright?
We only purchase handbags and accessories. All other items are accepted on a consignment basis.
Will my items be available online and in-store?
Some pieces are listed on both platforms, while others may appear exclusively online or in-store depending on curation and demand.
How are prices determined?
Prices are based on brand, condition, original retail value, and current market demand, ensuring fair and competitive resale values for a quick and successful sale.
